Educational Background
Over the years, I've learned a lot! See a more detailed description below.

Education
As a first generation student, it is crucial to reflect on where my educational journey started and where it has taken me now. Every step that I take in higher education is a step that gets me closer my dream of being a professor in the field of communication.
My Journey in Education
2021 - Present
PhD. in Communication
Washington State University
Continuing my education in the Edward R. Murrow College of communication has helped me cultivate my research interests, understanding of methodology, and building my teaching philosophy. I completed my certificate in educational research methods in 2023, from the educational psychology department within Washington State University's College of Education.
2019 - 2021
M.A. in Communication
Washington State University
My M.A. thesis entitled, "Examining Young Adult's Online Risky Behaviors: Associations with Content Exposure, Family Relationships, & Sexual Communication" was a driving factor in learning about my own research interests. I was the recipient of the Distinguished Graduate Researcher at the M.A. level in May of 2021.
2015 - 2019
B.A. in Speech Communication & B.A. in Sociology
Oregon State University
During my time at Oregon State University, I was extremely passionate about communication as well as crime and justice. I also received minors in education and geography.
